Whether it is the history, the unique production processes, incredible wine or the wonderful people who make it all possible, this is a collection of some of our favourite wine makers in the world.
Quinta do Sanguinhal vineyards are planted on gentle slopes of sandy-clay soils in Óbidos, Portugal. The estate holds one of the oldest distilleries in the region, with beautiful column copper alembic stills, and old granite cellars with wood and granite screw presses, one of which dating from 1871.
Grampsas Winery is located in Zakynthos island, Greece. It is a boutique, third generation winery that has only recently begun to produce wines for wider consumption under the careful management of Christos and Tasos Grampsas. Their wines derive from the Goustolidi and Agousitatis grapes which allows them to produce interesting and flavourful reds, whites, roses and also sweet wines.
The Montemaggio Estate is located in Radda in Chianti in the heart of Chianti Classico region. It is situated where once a 14th-century tower stood above the old Roman road between Siena and Florence in Italy.
Domaine Saint Andeol, in Cairanne France, has been in the same family for four generations and tradition is scrupulously respected. Built on the heights of Cairanne, on the site of an old monastery, dating back to 1123.
